The Central District Police have apprehended Malkhan alias Saleem (33), a proclaimed offender evading judicial proceedings related to a 2014 theft case. The arrest was part of a special drive against proclaimed offenders to locate absconding accused individuals.
Malkhan alias Saleem, a resident of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, had been avoiding legal consequences for years. The police team, led by Head Constable Mahaveer, Head Constable Sunil, and Constable Bhupender, successfully traced and arrested him near Kashmiri Gate Bus Stop in Delhi.
Declared a Proclaimed Offender by the Court of Dr Raj Kumar Singh, JMFC-05, Central, Tis Hazari Courts, on January 13, 2026, Malkhan alias Saleem faces charges under Sections 379, 356, 411, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). With an extensive criminal record of 54 cases, he is now in police custody for further legal proceedings.
