Chambal Ghariyals secured a remarkable victory in the Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) T20 Scindia Cup 2026 by defeating Royal Nimar Eagles by 31 runs in the final at Indore’s Holkar Stadium. The franchise achieved a historic double with both their men’s and women’s teams emerging victorious in the tournament.
In a dominant batting display, Chambal Ghariyals posted a challenging total of 224/5 after being put in to bat. The openers, Harsh Dixit and Ankush Singh, provided a strong start, followed by crucial partnerships that propelled them to a formidable score.
Apurve Dwivedi and skipper Shubham Sharma played pivotal roles in the middle overs, steering the team with significant contributions. The team’s collective effort, highlighted by Tripuresh Singh’s unbeaten 43 off 24 balls, ensured a commanding total for Chambal Ghariyals.
Royal Nimar Eagles began their chase aggressively but lost wickets at regular intervals, failing to keep up with the required run rate. Despite Abhishek Mavi’s valiant 73 off 39 deliveries, Chambal’s disciplined bowling, led by Mayur Patel’s impressive spell, restricted the Eagles to 193/7 in 20 overs.
Reflecting on the victory, Chambal Ghariyals owner Divyaraj Singh Kirar expressed immense pride in the teams’ achievements and praised the players for their consistency and teamwork throughout the tournament. Captain Shubham Sharma lauded the collective effort and consistency that propelled the team to success, emphasizing the significance of the women’s team’s triumph in boosting their morale.
