Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, at the TDP’s Mahanadu event, called for the Bharat Ratna to be posthumously awarded to NT Rama Rao, the late TDP founder and former chief minister. Naidu emphasized NTR’s significance as a symbol of Telugu pride and highlighted his contributions to Indian politics.
The resolution proposing the Bharat Ratna for NTR was unanimously supported by the attendees at the event. Naidu praised NTR’s transformative impact on Telugu society and stressed the importance of recognizing his legacy with the highest civilian honor in India.
Naidu lauded NTR’s journey from humble beginnings to becoming a prominent figure in both the film industry and politics. He underlined NTR’s unwavering commitment to upholding the self-respect of the Telugu people, describing him as an irreplaceable personality in the region’s history.
The Chief Minister also endorsed TDP leader Nara Lokesh’s call for nationwide implementation of 33% reservation for women, emphasizing the party’s commitment to empowering women and supporting various segments of society. Naidu highlighted NTR’s governance as a pillar of support for farmers, women, workers, and youth, showcasing the TDP’s multifaceted role in national politics.
