Chennaiyin FC’s academy graduate, S Prakadeswaran, scored his first senior goal during a challenging match against Jamshedpur FC. In the 70th minute, the 19-year-old displayed skill and composure, evading defenders to find the net with a well-placed shot.
Head coach Clifford Rayes Miranda made strategic changes, including the inclusion of key players like Pritam Kotal and Mandar Rao Dessai. Despite a strong start by Chennaiyin, Jamshedpur took the lead through Mohammed Sanan’s goal, followed by Messi Bouli’s header to double their advantage.
Chennaiyin FC fought back with efforts from Chima and Irfan but struggled to break through Jamshedpur’s defense. Despite their persistence, Jamshedpur extended their lead with another goal from Sanan. Prakadeswaran’s goal provided a positive moment in an otherwise tough match for Chennaiyin.
The final score favored Jamshedpur, who secured a 4-0 victory over Chennaiyin FC. Chennaiyin will now regroup for their upcoming match against Punjab FC on May 6.
