The 79-year-old artist was surprised to learn that her younger son, Elijah Blue Allman, is claimed to be the father of a 15-year-old girl, as shared by Kayti Edwards in an interview with The Sun. Kayti, who has a daughter named Ever with Elijah, revealed that the situation came to light after Elijah mentioned the child to his estranged wife following a 2021 incident.
Cher’s representatives have chosen not to comment on the matter. Kayti mentioned that Cher reached out to her last year to verify the information and was left speechless upon confirmation. Describing a meeting between Cher and Ever, Kayti shared that Cher was warm and even showed Ever a pair of concert-worn jeans. Cher engaged with Ever in a childlike manner, playing in the pool and discussing school and boys.
Kayti emphasized that Cher is making an effort to build a relationship with Ever naturally, despite previous concerns raised by Elijah and his wife about Cher not wanting to be a grandmother. The introduction has been positive, with Cher’s genuine interest in connecting with Ever shining through.
