Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma visited Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday as part of his Kerala tour amidst the ongoing Assembly elections. He attended the nomination filing ceremonies of four BJP candidates, including Rajeev Chandrasekhar, V. Muraleedharan, P. K. Krishnadas, and R. Sreelekha.
Sharma, speaking at the event, emphasized that with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Kerala could achieve the vision of a “Developed India-Developed Kerala” by supporting BJP candidates. He expressed confidence in the nominees’ ability to establish good governance and development in the state based on public aspirations.
During his visit, the Chief Minister also visited the BJP State Headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram and paid respects to the statues of Deendayal Upadhyaya, Syama Prasad Mukherjee, and P. Parameswaran. He highlighted the determination of the people of Kerala to bring about a change in the upcoming elections.
The Election Commission has officially announced the schedule for the Kerala Assembly elections, with nominations open until March 23, scrutiny on March 24, and polling scheduled for April 9. Sharma’s visit underscores the BJP’s focus on strengthening its presence in Kerala and expanding its influence in the state.
