Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel kicked off the third edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) in Surat on Friday. The event, scheduled for May 1-2 at Auro University, aims to enhance regional industrial growth, investments, and global partnerships. This conference is part of the state government’s strategy to extend the success of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit to a regional level.
The VGRC is graced by the presence of the entire state cabinet, along with Union Ministers Hardeep Singh Puri and C.R. Patil. The event commenced with the inauguration of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Exhibition (VGRE), running parallel to the conference. It brings together industries, MSMEs, startups, and government departments from various districts in South Gujarat.
Chief Minister Patel toured the exhibition, engaging with industrialists and startup representatives. He explored advancements in technology, green energy, agricultural practices, and service sector innovations. Stressing the significance of private sector involvement, he highlighted their crucial role in the state’s progress.
The conference hosts discussions on investment and collaboration with representatives from partner countries and industry leaders. Partner countries like Japan, Rwanda, Ukraine, and Singapore, along with organizations such as JETRO, USISPF, AMCHAM, and KOTRA, are actively participating. Various sectors including agriculture, textiles, chemicals, startups, energy, and global supply chains are covered in seminars and discussions.
