Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar urged industry leaders to collaborate with the Karnataka government to shape the state’s future growth. He announced plans to extend top-notch infrastructure beyond Bengaluru, establish an AI University with industry involvement, and introduce new policies to fortify the technology sector.

Addressing CEOs, Shivakumar emphasized Bengaluru’s strength in its skilled workforce and innovation environment. He credited the city’s success to the people and businesses that have positioned it as India’s technology hub.

Highlighting Karnataka’s economic progress, the Chief Minister mentioned that software exports surpassed Rs 4.36 lakh crore and are projected to exceed Rs 5.5 lakh crore this year. He emphasized the impact of these numbers on creating job opportunities and fulfilling aspirations.

Shivakumar noted the transformation of Karnataka’s Global Capability Centres into innovation hubs and highlighted Bengaluru’s prominence in India’s office market. He shared feedback from global leaders at the World Economic Forum, indicating Bengaluru’s appeal due to its talent pool, ecosystem, and cost efficiency.

In the next 100 days, the government plans to introduce a policy encouraging industries to expand operations outside Bengaluru by providing affordable office infrastructure in other Karnataka cities. The government has already rolled out new IT, Space Technology, and Startup policies focusing on DeepTech and research collaborations.
