On Rajasthan Day, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma initiated the ‘Chief Minister’s Developed Village–Ward Campaign’ to drive development as a mass movement. This campaign aims to create a comprehensive roadmap aligned with local aspirations for all Gram Panchayats and urban wards in Rajasthan. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of public participation to ensure inclusive development and enhance citizens’ quality of life.
The master plan under this initiative will focus not only on infrastructure development but also on utilizing local resources, traditional skills, and employment opportunities to maintain demographic balance in villages. Special attention will be given to establishing processing units, mandis, and value-addition facilities in agriculture-centric regions to boost income and local employment.
CM Sharma highlighted recent accomplishments, including providing government jobs to over 1.25 lakh youths, empowering around 16 lakh women economically, and increasing financial aid to farmers. As a result, Rajasthan’s per capita income has surpassed Rs 2 lakh for the first time. The Chief Minister stressed the need for comprehensive socio-economic profiles for each village, covering sectors like education, healthcare, roads, electricity, water supply, and employment.
In line with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rajasthan has unveiled its Vision Document for Viksit Rajasthan 2047. This campaign builds on previous budget announcements for rural and urban development, aiming to address local needs and aspirations through structured master plans. The Chief Minister also recalled the establishment of ‘Brihad Rajasthan’ on March 30, 1949, by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
