Chief Minister Mohan Yadav emphasized the vital role of women in the holistic development of Madhya Pradesh during a Women’s Empowerment Conference in Ashta. He highlighted the Ladli Behna Yojana, where a significant amount was directly transferred to beneficiaries. Additionally, he announced a groundbreaking initiative for 33% reservation for women in Parliament and State Assemblies starting April 16.
Describing Ashta as a hub of progress, education, and women’s empowerment, Yadav unveiled new projects to support girl students, including a new Girls’ Higher Secondary School building and hostel facilities. He inaugurated modern Sandipani School buildings in Ashta and Jawar, equipped with advanced facilities like libraries, computer labs, and sports grounds. These schools aim to provide quality education to thousands of students.
The Chief Minister further outlined a series of upcoming initiatives, including the establishment of a new ITI, urban beautification projects, and the introduction of Science stream at Jawar College. He also highlighted the state’s efforts in empowering women through various schemes like Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana and distribution of bicycles, laptops, and scooters to deserving students. The event witnessed the inauguration of development projects worth Rs 184 crore, focusing on infrastructure, community welfare, and water schemes.
