Chief Minister Mohan Yadav Visits Victims of Tragic Accident in Chhindwara

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited Chhindwara District Hospital to meet the families of the deceased and injured individuals from villages like Karera, Gwara, and Jhiria. He expressed his sorrow over the distressing incident and assured full government support to the affected families. The Chief Minister increased the financial assistance for the kin of each deceased person to Rs 8 lakh, providing Rs 4 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Discretionary Fund and an additional Rs 4 lakh under the Chief Minister’s Sambal Scheme.

Yadav canceled his prior commitments to show solidarity with the victims’ families. He also visited the hospital to check on the more than 30 injured persons receiving medical care. Additionally, he announced an ex-gratia of Rs 1 lakh for the injured individuals and initiated an inquiry into the accident. The Chief Minister praised the swift actions of the police personnel who rescued the injured and ensured timely medical attention, saving many lives. He also acknowledged the efforts of the medical staff treating the injured individuals in hospitals in Nagpur.
