Upon receiving the alert, Sub-Divisional Officer (East) Tushar Kumar, accompanied by administrative officials and police personnel, hurried to the shelter home to commence an inquiry. During the inspection, it was discovered that 10 children were unaccounted for, raising questions about the security protocols in place.
Preliminary reports indicate that the children managed to escape during the night, potentially by scaling the perimeter wall or using an undisclosed route, despite security measures.
