Chirag Paswan, the President of Lok Janshakti Party-Ram Vilas and Union Minister, launched a scathing attack on the Bihar Grand Alliance during a Makar Sankranti celebration in Delhi. He criticized the internal situation within the Opposition alliance and commented on political developments in West Bengal. Paswan questioned the growing discontent within the Grand Alliance, particularly targeting Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in Bihar.
Referring to Tejashwi Yadav’s statement about remaining silent for the first 100 days of the new government, Paswan questioned the essence of democracy where the Opposition chooses silence. He suggested that if Yadav wants to remain silent, he should pass on the responsibility to someone else. Paswan also highlighted the absence of MLAs at a Dahi-Chura feast organized by the State Congress President, indicating internal unrest within the Bihar Opposition.
Paswan further mentioned the visible resentment among RJD and Congress MLAs over alliance dynamics. He condemned attempts to divide the country based on language, emphasizing that languages should be seen as friends, not enemies. Paswan reiterated the NDA government’s commitment to ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ and criticized the attacks on central probe agencies in West Bengal by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
