Hollywood actor Chris Hemsworth has commenced shooting for the upcoming crime thriller “Kockroach,” based on William Lashner’s 2007 novel. Hemsworth, known for his role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, shared a glimpse of the film on Instagram. Directed by Matt Ross, the movie features Hemsworth as a mysterious outsider in New York’s underworld.
The film, described as a gritty crime drama, follows a “mysterious stranger” who evolves into a crime boss in New York City, drawing inspiration from Kafkaesque themes. Apart from Hemsworth, the cast includes Taron Egerton, Zazie Beetz, and Alec Baldwin. Hemsworth, who gained fame through the show “Home and Away,” has an extensive filmography, including “Extraction,” “Men in Black: International,” and “Ghostbusters.”
Before diving into filming for “Kockroach,” Hemsworth enjoyed a surf trip with his children, fulfilling a long-held dream. Sharing moments from the trip on Instagram, Hemsworth expressed his joy at surfing with his kids.
