Christian Harrison and Neal Skupski secured victory in the Australian Open men’s doubles final, defeating Jason Kubler and Marc Polmans 7-6(4), 6-4. This win comes in just their second tour-level event as a duo. Harrison and Skupski, who teamed up recently in Adelaide, showed strong form throughout the tournament.
The American-British pair, seeded sixth, displayed composure in the semifinals to advance to the final by beating Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos. Kubler and Polmans, the home favorites, fought hard in the final, but Harrison and Skupski’s performance proved too strong. The match turned in their favor after a crucial tie-break win in the first set.
Harrison and Skupski continued their dominance by breaking serve in the second set, ultimately clinching the title on their second match point. Kubler, aiming for his second Australian Open doubles crown, and Polmans, achieving their best result at Melbourne Park, put up a spirited fight but fell short against the solid partnership of Harrison and Skupski.
