Award-winning filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s upcoming movie “The Odyssey” is set to bypass influencer screenings next month, leading up to its debut on July 17 in the UK and US. The epic fantasy action film stars a stellar cast including Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya, and Charlize Theron. The global premiere is scheduled for July 6 in London.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal Studios has decided not to hold word-of-mouth screenings for the much-anticipated movie. Typically, studios offer influencers the opportunity to view major releases early in exchange for social media reviews before critics attend advanced screenings. However, “The Odyssey” is not expected to participate in such pre-release influencer events.
Matt Damon recently shared insights about filming alongside Charlize Theron for the movie, highlighting the challenging conditions they faced on a windy beach in Morocco. Damon praised Theron’s unwavering determination despite the discomfort caused by the harsh filming environment. He commended her resilience and professionalism, emphasizing her ability to persevere through difficult scenes.
Damon also expressed admiration for Theron’s ageless appearance, jokingly suggesting that she has defied aging through the years. The actor lauded Theron’s toughness and recounted her dedication to the demanding scenes, showcasing her commitment to delivering a remarkable performance on screen.
