The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) investigating alleged irregularities in the 14th Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) Civil Services Examination has called former JPSC Chairman L. Khiangte for questioning on Tuesday. Khiangte has expressed willingness to cooperate fully with the investigation, emphasizing the need for a thorough inquiry to dispel any doubts regarding the recruitment process. Following CID searches at Khiangte’s residence and office, crucial documents related to the examinations were scrutinized.
As part of the probe, CID officials also raided the data processing company’s office responsible for conducting the examinations, seizing recruitment-related documents and digital evidence. Eight individuals, including former JPSC Deputy Examination Controller Shweta Kumari Gupta and company officials, have been arrested in connection with the case. The interrogation of Khiangte, scheduled for Tuesday, marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation.
