In response to Dharmendra Pradhan stepping down as Union Education Minister, climate activist Sonam Wangchuk emphasized the need for reforms in both the education system and governance. Wangchuk commended the government’s decision and urged the youth to continue safeguarding democracy in India. He acknowledged the peaceful protests but also highlighted unfortunate incidents of violence during the agitation.
Wangchuk praised the youth, volunteers, and supporters for standing up for democracy and maintaining peace during the protests. He stressed the importance of peaceful demonstrations in showcasing the power of democracy. Wangchuk appealed for the continuation of peaceful means and humility following the movement’s success, emphasizing the significance of character display.
The activist called for a shift towards educational reforms, stating that nation-building requires more than just one resignation. He expressed confidence in the government’s commitment to reforms in both education and governance. Wangchuk hoped for a governance approach based on love, affection, and truth, aiming to eliminate corruption and position India as a global example.
