Despite a shaky start at 82-5, Akhil’s remarkable 104 runs off 51 balls, including 10 sixes, turned the game around for Coastal Kings. Akhil’s heroic innings, supported by key partnerships, led his team to a dramatic victory, with seven runs needed off the final over.
Stringing crucial partnerships, Akhil’s standout performance, along with contributions from Prithviraj Shekhawat and Dheeraj Gowda, guided Coastal Kings to victory. With this win, Coastal Kings now have nine points from four victories in nine matches, positioning them third in the table with one match remaining. On the other hand, Hubli Tigers’ campaign ended with their sixth defeat in 10 matches, placing them at the bottom of the table with six points.
In the match, Taha’s century was a highlight for Hubli Tigers, who made a strong start by scoring 213/6 in 20 overs. Taha and Hardik Raj’s aggressive opening partnership set the tone, with Taha’s 114 runs and Raj’s 66 runs providing a solid foundation. However, Coastal Kings’ resilient performance, led by Akhil, ultimately secured the victory with 19.2 overs and seven wickets.
