The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) concluded its protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar as the Centre accepted its key demands following Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation. The decision came after a joint press conference in New Delhi where Union Health Minister JP Nadda, Union Minister Jitendra Singh, and CJP representatives Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka confirmed the agreement.

Nadda announced that the government would withdraw all police cases against protesting students, provide written confirmation of the FIR withdrawals, and ensure maximum compensation for families of students linked to the alleged paper leak incidents. CJP leaders encouraged protesters to halt the agitation, stating that the government’s assurances addressed all their raised demands.

Saurav Das, speaking on behalf of the Cockroach Janata Party, urged students to end the protest and return home, emphasizing that the government had met all the agitators’ demands. The protest, which focused on alleged paper leaks and actions against protesting students, had called for the withdrawal of cases and financial support for affected families.

Nadda assured that written confirmation on FIR withdrawals would be provided soon, with compensation plans to offer the highest possible relief. He stressed the government’s commitment to addressing student concerns, highlighting the decision to accept the demands as a move towards dialogue over confrontation. Das appealed for calm, asking students to trust the government’s assurances and disperse peacefully.

With the demands officially accepted, organizers and party representatives hoped for a peaceful conclusion to the agitation without further escalation. Students at the site were expected to discuss the developments before deciding on their next steps.
