The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) stated that no protester would face legal action alone as government representatives confirmed their commitment to withdrawing cases against demonstrators and releasing detainees. The CJP revealed this assurance after a meeting with officials, where discussions focused on extending legal protection to protesters. Following concerns over a “breach of agreement,” the CJP emphasized the importance of safeguarding participants of the protests.

The party highlighted that more states are expected to issue formal notifications to protect protesters, as shared notifications from Bihar and Assam governments were seen as providing relief to demonstrators. CJP’s Chief Spokesperson, Saurav Das, emphasized the significance of the government’s promise to release guarantee-notifications from the union government and BJP/NDA states. The party expressed optimism that all protesters would be supported collectively, ensuring no individual is left to face legal consequences alone.

Das further mentioned receiving fresh assurances regarding Rajasthan, assuring that no legal action would be taken against protesters in the state. The CJP representatives conveyed their concerns about the implementation of government commitments and sought written assurances to ensure the protection of protesters. Discussions also revolved around persuading other state governments to issue similar notifications, aiming to provide consistent legal protection to protesters across different states.

The government assured the CJP that additional notifications addressing their concerns in various states would be issued promptly. Reaffirming the party’s dedication to protesters, Das reiterated their commitment to ensuring that no protester faced legal repercussions. The CJP emphasized its ongoing support for protesters and vowed to continue efforts to protect their rights and safety.
