A delegation from the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) will hold discussions with Union government ministers at the Constitution Club of India following the government’s agreement to meet at a neutral venue. The CJP has been protesting at Jantar Mantar, demanding accountability for alleged NEET paper leak irregularities.
Sourav Das, a member of the CJP, expressed satisfaction with the government’s acceptance of their request for talks outside official premises. The party has been calling for Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation over the NEET paper leak issue and advocating for a revamp of the education and examination system.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently announced plans for a new legislation with stricter measures and harsher penalties for exam paper leaks. The proposed Bill is set to be discussed at the upcoming Union Cabinet meeting before being presented in the ongoing parliamentary session.
PM Modi acknowledged the distress caused by exam leaks to students and parents, emphasizing the government’s commitment to ensuring the integrity of examinations. Despite the government’s proposed legal changes, the CJP maintains that the removal of Minister Pradhan is crucial and will address this demand in the upcoming meeting.
