The Jindal Steel Indian Open Polo Championship final not only showcased on-field action but also highlighted worries about the potential eviction of the iconic Jaipur Polo Grounds. The event, attended by approximately 2,000 spectators, drew the presence of various distinguished individuals, including notable figures like Rajeev Shukla, vice president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

The Land and Development Office (L&DO) under the Ministry of Urban Affairs has issued eviction notices to the Delhi Race Club and the Indian Polo Association (IPA), sparking strong reactions within the polo community. Sawai Padmanabh Singh, a member of the Jaipur royal family playing for Jaipur Optiemus Achievers, expressed deep concerns, emphasizing the historical significance of the Jaipur Polo Grounds and urging unity to preserve this cherished venue.

Sawai Padmanabh Singh stressed the global importance of polo, particularly the Jaipur Polo Grounds, which has been a pivotal location for the sport for over a century. Naveen Jindal, Vice President of the Indian Polo Association and Member of Parliament, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the cultural and historical value of the venue and calling for its protection to ensure the legacy of polo for future generations.

The final match itself was a closely contested affair, with Jindal Panther making a valiant effort before ultimately succumbing 9–12 to Jaipur Optiemus Achievers. Despite trailing initially, Jindal Panther staged a remarkable comeback, narrowing the gap and keeping the competition intense until the final stages. Led by Naveen Jindal, the team displayed resilience and competitive spirit, showcasing the essence of the sport.
