In Kerala, party workers and leaders at the Congress headquarters are commemorating the occasion with a cake-cutting ceremony, joined by several senior leaders as the counting trends unfold. Congress leader M. M. Hassan has expressed optimism about the party’s performance, stating that the UDF is on a very favorable trend and is expected to reach at least 100 seats before 5 o’clock.
Reacting to the early numbers, Congress leader A.P. Anilkumar noted that the alliance’s performance aligns with their earlier expectations, emphasizing the strong support received in previous elections. Congress MP Jebi Mather also exuded confidence in securing a decisive mandate, highlighting the people of Kerala’s choice for Congress and UDF, which she believes has dealt a significant blow to Vijayan and others. As the counting progresses, party workers remain upbeat, with leaders indicating that the early trends reflect sustained support for the Congress-led alliance in the state.
