Congress General Secretary, Organisation, K.C. Venugopal, has convened a crucial meeting with AICC General Secretaries, state in-charges, and state unit Presidents on Thursday in New Delhi. The meeting aims to address ongoing political developments and will be chaired by INC President Sh. Mallikarjun Kharge.
Recently, a meeting of the INDIA bloc was held on June 8 to address internal tensions within the alliance. Termed as the “INDIA Janbandhan” meeting, discussions focused on future strategies and coordination on key political matters.
During the gathering, Congress President Kharge emphasized the importance of a united front against the Narendra Modi government. He highlighted the defeat of contentious bills in the Lok Sabha and urged INDIA bloc members to strengthen their resolve in challenging the ruling administration on various national issues.
Kharge outlined a strategic plan for revitalizing the Opposition alliance following setbacks in recent state elections. He called for active participation from stakeholders to establish a robust front against the Central government.
In his address, Kharge criticized the BJP-led NDA government for alleged constitutional violations, misuse of investigative bodies for political gain, and expressed concerns over the economic situation, especially in light of the crisis in West Asia. He raised issues regarding job creation, growth of private monopolies, and the challenges faced by MSMEs.
