The Congress party has initiated a three-month national campaign where all party members will protest against inflation, unemployment, exam scams, social inequality, and weak diplomacy due to the Gulf conflict. Congress General Secretary K.C. Venugopal revealed this strategy after a high-level meeting at the All India Congress Committee (AICC) headquarters in New Delhi.
During the meeting, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge highlighted the challenges faced by the country, including inflation, unemployment, and exam irregularities. He emphasized the impact of paper leaks in exams like NEET, which have eroded trust in the education system. Kharge also mentioned Rahul Gandhi’s efforts in supporting affected students and youth.
The AICC gathering occurred amidst a political dispute following the rejection of Meenakshi Natarajan’s Rajya Sabha nomination from Madhya Pradesh. Venugopal expressed concern over the situation, especially the rejection of Natarajan’s nomination due to a court notice non-disclosure and the mishandling of a candidate’s name in Jharkhand.
Venugopal criticized the government’s foreign policy, particularly regarding the Gulf conflict. He raised concerns about the loss of three Indian lives and the wavering diplomatic relations. Additionally, he warned against the potential negative impact of the proposed India-US trade agreement on Indian farmers.
