Veteran Congress leader H.K. Patil expressed concern over Ramalinga Reddy’s resignation, considering it a warning for the Shivakumar government. Patil, a close friend of Reddy, reached out to him personally to discuss the situation and emphasized the need for prompt attention from the leadership.
Patil, who was not included in the recent cabinet expansion, hoped to be part of the next phase. Meanwhile, former Minister K.N. Rajanna highlighted the need to focus on current issues rather than past resignations, questioning certain portfolio allocations in the government.
Rajanna emphasized the importance of effective governance and urged leaders to prioritize public welfare in their roles. He dismissed queries about Reddy’s resignation as old news, encouraging the media to seek updates on recent developments.
Minister Eshwar Khandre expressed confidence in resolving the situation with Reddy directly, while Minister Priyank Kharge stressed the significance of Reddy’s contributions to the party and the state. Congress MLA R.V. Deshpande viewed the matter as an internal one that would be internally resolved.
