Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, along with party MPs and leaders, including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, led a protest near Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence. They demanded the Prime Minister’s resignation following alleged police action against peacefully protesting students. Rahul Gandhi emphasized that an attack on students is an attack on every Indian family, urging citizens to join the protest for justice.

In a social media post, Rahul Gandhi criticized PM Modi for evading accountability and consequences, stating that he cannot escape this time. He called for the resignation of both PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, highlighting the importance of addressing the concerns of India’s students. Gandhi insisted that the voices of the students should not be disregarded and stressed the need for accountability from the government.

Rahul Gandhi accused the government of silencing protesting students and demanded an apology from PM Modi for the police action. He held both the Prime Minister and Home Minister responsible for the crackdown on students. Gandhi also criticized the government for hindering discussions in Parliament on the students’ issues, highlighting the Speaker’s requirement for government approval before allowing a debate.
