They emphasized the diminishing relevance of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in South Indian states. Congress MP Imran Pratapgarhi lauded the victory, attributing it to the unity within UDF and the leadership of Mallikarjun Kharge.
The Congress MP highlighted the strategic acumen of Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and the grassroots mobilization efforts of Congress MP KC Venugopal as key factors in the win. He anticipated the appointment of another Congress Chief Minister in the state, expressing joy over the UDF’s imminent formation of the government in Kerala. Congress leader Mettu Sai Kumar viewed the alliance’s lead in Kerala as a triumph for Congress workers and criticized the BJP for alleged misuse of constitutional institutions.
Alka Lamba, the All India Mahila Congress President, emphasized the party’s focus on Kerala and the likelihood of forming an alliance government in the state. Kerala Congress President Sunny Joseph extended gratitude to voters and party leadership for the resounding victory, likening it to the UDF’s strong performance in the recent local body polls.
