Congress MP Tariq Anwar referenced Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s words on maintaining good relations with neighbors while defending Farooq Abdullah’s call for dialogue with Pakistan. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also advocated for India-Pakistan talks to improve relations, citing a longstanding conflict between the two nations. Anwar further supported Digvijaya Singh’s claims against an RSS-linked trust and backed his stance on the Ram Mandir consecration controversy.

Congress MP Tariq Anwar addressed allegations made by Digvijaya Singh regarding land allocation to an RSS-linked trust, emphasizing Singh’s credibility due to his political experience. Anwar defended Singh’s comments on the Ram Mandir consecration, highlighting Singh’s religious beliefs and knowledge. Additionally, Anwar criticized Champat Rai in response to seers in Ayodhya supporting him amid calls for his resignation.

In light of the INDIA bloc’s letter to the Chief Justice of India seeking the suspension of electoral roll revisions, Tariq Anwar expressed concerns over the Election Commission’s perceived alignment with the government and BJP. He suggested that opposition parties wrote the letter out of desperation given the current political climate.
