The Counter-Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) wing of Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted raids at various locations across the Valley related to a transnational terror module associated with the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror group. These raids, authorized by search warrants, targeted 11 locations in Srinagar, Ganderbal, and Shopian districts. The module, with cross-border connections to Bangladesh and Pakistan, is believed to be coordinated by Shabir Ahmad Lone, a key handler currently in Bangladesh.

The CIK’s operations revealed that the terror module was receiving instructions from handlers in Pakistan, indicating a broader network spanning borders. The searches aimed to gather evidence linking local operatives to their foreign handlers, resulting in the seizure of incriminating material. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to disrupt networks supporting militant activities in the region and to dismantle the terror module’s operations.

The raids, conducted under court-issued search warrants, focused on collecting digital data, documents, and materials relevant to the functioning of the terror module. Ongoing investigations seek to identify additional network members and uncover the full scope of their activities. The CIK, as the Counter-Intelligence arm of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, remains actively engaged in anti-terror operations in the Valley.
