Cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has praised the recently released police drama ‘Sirai’, directed by Suresh Rajakumari. Ashwin commended the film for its gripping storyline, mentioning that he did not check his phone even once while watching it. He particularly appreciated the performances of actors Vikram Prabhu and Akshay Kumar, emphasizing the ensemble nature of the movie.
The film, which has garnered acclaim from critics and industry insiders, stars Vikram Prabhu and L K Akshay Kumar in lead roles. Producer S S Lalit Kumar, who had great confidence in the film’s success, gifted a car to director Suresh Rajakumari for his exceptional work on the project. The car was presented to the director’s mother at a special pre-release event attended by various celebrities and media personalities.
Inspired by real-life events, the film’s story is credited to director Tamizh, known for his work on ‘Taanakaran’. Director Suresh Rajakumari, a protégé of Vetrimaaran, has helmed the project. The movie features Vikram Prabhu alongside actress Anantha, with L K Akshay Kumar making his acting debut. Actress Anishma stars opposite Akshay Kumar in the film.
‘Sirai’ boasts music by Justin Prabhakaran, cinematography by Madesh Manickam, and editing by Philomin Raj. The action sequences were choreographed by Prabhu, with Arun K and Manikandan serving as executive producers. Filming locations included Chennai, Sivagangai, and Vellore.
