‘Operation Langda’ is a law enforcement initiative in Uttar Pradesh that commenced in May 2025 to combat crime. The strategy involves targeting habitual offenders by shooting to disable, aiming at suspects’ legs during encounters to incapacitate them. This approach, focusing on individuals with extensive criminal backgrounds, aims to curb crime and often leads to arrests post counter-firing.
