Cuba has strongly criticized the increased military threats from US President Donald Trump. Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel expressed concern over the heightened level of aggression, urging the international community to resist such dangerous actions. He emphasized Cuba’s determination to defend its sovereignty against any aggressor, regardless of their power.
In response to Trump’s direct military attack threat, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez condemned the escalating aggression towards Cuba. Rodriguez highlighted the overwhelming support for the Cuban Revolution demonstrated during recent May Day celebrations. The Cuban government firmly rejected the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the US, viewing them as collective punishment against the Cuban people.
Trump’s executive order imposing new sanctions on Cuba has further strained relations between the two countries. The US President’s actions have been met with strong opposition from Cuba, with Rodriguez emphasizing that such measures violate international norms and the UN Charter. The Cuban government remains resolute in defending its independence and sovereignty against external threats.
