Cyprus Foreign Affairs Minister Constantinos Kombos met with India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in Washington to congratulate him on the India-US trade deal and the recent Free Trade Agreement between India and the European Union. Last October, the two ministers reviewed the India-Cyprus Joint Action Plan 2025-2029 during a meeting in New Delhi. EAM Jaishankar highlighted discussions on global geopolitical situations, regional developments, and cooperation in multilateral forums.
During his visit to India, Minister Kombos expressed delight and honor in meeting with Dr. S Jaishankar, emphasizing the strong signal of Cyprus-India relations. The ministers focused on advancing the Cyprus-India strategic partnership, particularly in implementing the Joint Action Plan agreed upon by both countries. Kombos also appreciated India’s enduring support on the Cyprus Issue and commitment to international law.
