Dave Grohl, the lead singer of the rock band Foo Fighters, disclosed that he underwent 70 weeks of therapy following his admission of fathering a child outside his marriage. This revelation came after a tumultuous period in his life, which included the loss of his bandmate Taylor Hawkins and his mother Virginia in 2022.
Grohl shared with the Guardian newspaper that he had been attending therapy almost daily for over 430 sessions, stating, “I’ve been in therapy six days a week for 70 weeks.” When questioned if the affair confession triggered his therapy, he responded, “There were so many things that led me to this therapy.”
According to ‘Female First UK,’ the scandal prompted Grohl to reflect on himself, leading him to “re-evaluate” his life. He admitted that while he sometimes expresses his emotions through songwriting, he also values personal introspection and self-improvement, acknowledging that it is an ongoing process.
Following his public statement about the situation and his commitment to his new child and family, Grohl took a break from social media. He emphasized the importance of not being overly concerned with external opinions and focusing on being a better father and person.
