Dave Grohl, the drummer of Foo Fighters, renamed the band’s latest album to ‘Your Favourite Toy’ from ‘For Good’ to prevent confusion with the ‘Wicked’ sequel. Initially, the title track was named ‘For Good,’ but after the release of ‘Wicked: For Good’ in 2025, Grohl made the change. This decision followed his unintentionally awkward encounter with David Bowie, where he inadvertently insulted the music legend.

During a recent appearance on Radio X, Grohl shared that the song ‘Your Favourite Toy’ was originally titled ‘For Good’ due to its multiple meanings. However, the release of ‘Wicked: For Good’ prompted him to alter the album’s title. Grohl also recounted his encounter with Bowie, where he expressed admiration but inadvertently mentioned Bowie’s imperfections, leading to an uncomfortable moment.

Grohl’s admiration for Bowie’s talent in the studio remained undiminished despite the awkward encounter. Bowie’s ability to deliver flawless performances in a single take left Grohl in awe. Despite the initial misstep, Grohl was deeply impressed by Bowie’s raw talent and authenticity during their studio interaction.
