A dispute in Jharkhand’s Garhwa district escalated into a violent clash between two families, resulting in one fatality and four serious injuries. The incident occurred in Dubiyathi Tola of Hesatu village under the Bargarh police station area in Tehri Panchayat. The deceased individual has been identified as 55-year-old Suryadev Yadav.

Tensions arose when three goats owned by Suryadev Yadav reportedly died due to poisoning. His family accused Ramkishun Yadav, also known as Dubai Yadav, and his wife Kawalia Devi of poisoning the animals. Subsequently, Suryadev Yadav sought assistance from the Panchayat head, Vinko Toppo, to file a complaint and seek resolution.

Allegedly, while trying to capture evidence by taking photos of the deceased goats on his mobile phone, Suryadev Yadav was confronted and attacked by members of the accused family. Police reported that around 11 individuals, including Ramkishun Yadav, Raju Yadav, Santosh Yadav, and Kawalia Devi, assaulted Suryadev Yadav with sticks and a sickle, leading to his death.

Suryadev Yadav’s sons, Mahesh Yadav and Ganesh Yadav, were also seriously injured during the altercation. Two other individuals sustained injuries as well. The injured parties were promptly taken to a nearby medical facility for initial treatment, with Mahesh Yadav later being transferred to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi for further medical attention.
