Singh, on his way to Kargil for the Vijay Diwas celebrations, was warmly welcomed in Srinagar by Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and other senior officials. The two-day event at the Kargil War Memorial in Drass honors the courageous Indian Armed Forces personnel who laid down their lives during the Kargil War.
