Armed Forces Veterans Day commemorates the birth anniversary of Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa, a revered figure in Indian military history. The day serves as a tribute to the brave soldiers who have served in the Indian Armed Forces, with various events and outreach programs planned nationwide to honor their contributions.
The main event, to be attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, will take place at Manekshaw Centre in Delhi Cantt, with participation from veterans in Delhi/NCR. Additionally, events will be held at 34 Rajya Sainik Boards and 434 Zila Sainik Boards across the country, including veterans’ rallies and support services to address their needs.
