Defence Minister Rajnath Singh lauded the courage and selfless dedication of Tiranga Mountain Rescue (TMR), India’s high-altitude rescue organization, during his visit to a photo exhibition showcasing their work. The exhibition, titled ‘A Decade of Silent Service to the Nation,’ marked the 10th anniversary of TMR’s operations and featured impactful photographs capturing their rescue missions in challenging terrains across the country.

Rajnath Singh acknowledged the invaluable contribution of TMR volunteers who risk their lives to save others, especially in adverse conditions where nature poses significant challenges. He emphasized the crucial role played by these mountain rescuers in boosting the morale of soldiers and reassuring mountain residents of their support. The Defence Minister highlighted the spirit of duty and service embodied by TMR personnel, emphasizing their role in enhancing border stability and national resilience beyond rescue operations.

TMR Founder Hemant Sachdev described the exhibition as a tribute to the organization’s journey and a recognition of the unwavering commitment of its volunteers. He emphasized that every rescue mission conducted by TMR is a race against time, underscoring their dedication to safeguarding lives in mountainous regions. The event was attended by Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh, and other senior officials, as per an official statement.
