The Defence Ministry’s Directorate General Resettlement (DGR) is set to organize a large job fair for ex-servicemen at Aravali Auditorium, near Shankar Vihar Metro Station, Delhi Cantonment on Friday. The job fair commenced at 7 a.m., with ex-servicemen required to bring their I-cards and five copies of their biodata, as per a Defence Ministry official.
The fair, facilitated by DGR, will provide various benefits to industry employers, such as free online registration, job postings, stall allotment, and access to resumes of ex-servicemen. A recent job fair was also conducted in Chandigarh on March 17, serving as a platform to connect ex-servicemen with leading employers from different sectors like security, IT, administration, logistics, healthcare, and engineering.
The Ministry of Defence highlighted that these initiatives demonstrate the commitment of the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare towards the resettlement and welfare of ex-servicemen, recognizing their valuable skills in the civilian job market. The DGR plans to conduct a total of 18 job fairs for ex-servicemen across India during FY 2025-26, with 17 already held in various cities.
