The Defence Ministry’s Directorate General Resettlement (DGR) is set to organize a large-scale job fair for ex-servicemen at the Aravali Auditorium near Shankar Vihar Metro Station in Delhi Cantonment on Friday. The job fair will commence at 7 a.m., with ex-servicemen required to bring their I-Card and five copies of their biodata. The fair aims to provide various benefits to industry employers, including free online registration, job postings, stall allotment, and access to resumes of ex-servicemen.

A recent job fair held in Chandigarh on March 17 by the Defence Ministry preceded this upcoming event. These job fairs act as a dedicated platform connecting ex-servicemen from the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force with prominent employers across sectors such as security, IT, administration, logistics, healthcare, and engineering. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) shared details on the Delhi job fair, emphasizing its commitment to the welfare and resettlement of ex-servicemen, recognizing their valuable skills like discipline, leadership, and technical expertise that are highly sought after in the civilian job market.

The DGR is conducting a total of 18 job fairs for ex-servicemen across India during the fiscal year 2025-26, with 17 fairs already completed in various cities. These events offer ex-servicemen the opportunity to showcase their talents to employers who appreciate their unique value in the workforce. Employers, upon registration, will have access to resumes of skilled ex-servicemen for recruitment purposes, enabling them to plan interviews and shortlist candidates prior to the job fair.

Both employers and ex-servicemen can register online for the job fair at www.esmhire.com, an AI-powered job platform. The registration link is also accessible on the DGR website at www.dgrindia.gov.in under the job fair section.
