A group of 57 research scholars from prominent think tanks recently visited Air Force Station Hindon, a key base of the Indian Air Force (IAF). The scholars aimed to gain insights into operational aspects and explore opportunities for joint research. The delegation included scholars from various institutions such as MP-IDSA, ORF, VIF, CAPSS, CLAWS, NMF, India Foundation, CCCS, USI, and CENJOWS.
The visit allowed the scholars to engage with IAF personnel, learning about operational aspects and potential research collaborations. They received a detailed briefing on IAF’s history, capabilities, and accomplishments. The scholars also had the chance to interact with IAF personnel, who shared their operational experiences and insights.
This visit marked a significant effort to enhance understanding and cooperation between the IAF and think tanks. It sets the stage for future collaborations through research projects and academic exchanges. Additionally, Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, the Chief of the Air Staff, recently delivered a keynote address at the Air Force Station in Chandigarh, emphasizing the evolving role of air power in modern warfare.
