Interacting with CRPF personnel, Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta praised their work in challenging security environments, emphasizing their crucial role in India’s internal security. He highlighted the force’s efforts in countering militancy, insurgency, and Left Wing Extremism. Gupta also lauded their contributions to election security, protection of key installations and dignitaries, and support during emergencies and natural disasters.
During the meeting with the 103rd Battalion of CRPF, attended by families and children, the Speaker acknowledged the force’s involvement in UN peacekeeping missions, showcasing India’s commitment to global peace. He specifically recognized the dedication and professionalism of CRPF personnel who served in regions like Jammu and Kashmir, Dantewada, Sukma, and other sensitive areas. Gupta also underlined the historical significance of the Delhi Vidhan Sabha, tracing its evolution over 113 years and its role in India’s democratic heritage.
As part of the program, the CRPF personnel were given a tour of the Assembly House to learn about its functioning, traditions, and parliamentary heritage. The families of the jawans and officers also participated in the tour, gaining insights into the legislative legacy of the Delhi Vidhan Sabha. Additionally, the Speaker presented a Coffee Table Book titled “Delhi Legislative Assembly presents Shatabdi-Yatra: Veer Vithalbhai Patel” as a memento, highlighting India’s parliamentary journey from 1925 to 2025 through rare archival photographs and historic documents.
