The Delhi Legislative Assembly Secretariat is set to hold an event to commemorate Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev on their martyrdom day. Speaker Vijender Gupta, along with Ministers, MLAs, and freedom fighters, will pay respects to the martyrs by laying floral tributes at the legislative Assembly complex. The event coincides with the commencement of the Budget Session of the Eighth Legislative Assembly.
Earlier, Speaker Gupta inspected the Assembly House’s arrangements in preparation for the Budget Session scheduled from March 23 to March 25. He emphasized the need for the upcoming session to uphold parliamentary traditions with informed debates and dignified conduct. The Speaker ensured that all operational and procedural aspects were thoroughly reviewed to guarantee smooth proceedings during the session.
In a move towards technology-driven legislative processes, tablets have been provided to all Members for real-time access to legislative business and official documents. Additionally, the Assembly will introduce ‘Vidhan Sathi,’ an AI-powered chatbot to aid Members in legislative research and analysis of Bills and policy matters. This initiative aims to enhance Members’ engagement with legislative affairs.
