Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has requested Mayor Sardar Raja Iqbal Singh to consider exempting property tax on houses in Lal Dora areas or residential zones away from farms. This appeal came after a meeting with a group of residents from rural areas of Delhi, where Singh was also present. The residents, led by Pradhan Chaudhary Surender Solanki, urged for a waiver of house tax in Lal Dora areas.
The delegation, which included individuals like Chaudhary Naresh and Suresh Shaukeen, highlighted that imposing house tax on citizens in Lal Dora areas is impractical and financially burdensome. They emphasized the need for a complete exemption from house tax in these regions. Sachdeva assured the delegation of BJP’s support for the rural population and Lal Dora areas, stressing the importance of a relief policy to address the confusion and dissatisfaction among the public.
Sachdeva urged prompt action from the Mayor on this matter, emphasizing the significance of formulating a clear relief policy at the municipal level. He assured that residents of Lal Dora areas would not face any harassment and urged for a positive decision to be made swiftly. The Mayor, acknowledging the concerns raised by the delegation, promised to prioritize public interest and take appropriate action at the municipal level regarding house tax in Lal Dora areas.
