Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva praised the Rekha Gupta government for completing a successful year in office. He contrasted this with the alleged scams of the Arvind Kejriwal-led government, highlighting the BJP government’s establishment of 100 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs. Sachdeva emphasized the public’s desire for change during the last Assembly elections, aiming to bring the BJP to power in 2025.
Sachdeva expressed satisfaction at the emergence of a responsive BJP government after 27 years, dedicated to addressing public grievances promptly. He underscored the government’s accountability and commitment to transparency, ensuring responsiveness to citizen concerns on all matters. The Delhi BJP President lauded Chief Minister Gupta’s efforts in informing the public about the government’s accomplishments while stressing the administration’s strong sense of duty.
The BJP government, according to Sachdeva, has rectified long-standing issues such as the deteriorating sewer system left by previous administrations. He highlighted the government’s swift action in resolving waterlogging problems in areas like Kirari, which had suffered from mismanagement in sewer line projects. Additionally, the BJP government has significantly improved Delhi’s public transport system by introducing nearly 1,000 new electric buses within a year.
Sachdeva noted the recent inauguration of 25 Atal Canteens by the BJP government, with plans to expand the initiative to over 150 canteens soon. He also mentioned the government’s announcement of free gas cylinders for underprivileged families in Delhi, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s welfare initiatives. Furthermore, the government has enhanced the maternity scheme benefits, fulfilling another commitment made by the Prime Minister.
The Delhi BJP President criticized former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, questioning his absence and activities during the past year. Sachdeva accused Sisodia of neglecting his duties as a minister and engaging in questionable activities in Punjab. He highlighted the contrast between the BJP government’s proactive governance approach and the alleged shortcomings of the previous administration led by Kejriwal.
