Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva criticized AAP Convenor Saurabh Bharadwaj for questioning the judiciary’s impartiality in the excise policy scam. Sachdeva accused Bharadwaj of insulting the entire judicial system by doubting the relationship between a Delhi High Court judge and the BJP. The Delhi BJP is seeking legal advice on addressing Bharadwaj’s comments about the judge.
Sachdeva highlighted the BJP’s efforts in exposing the excise policy scam from the previous Arvind Kejriwal government. He emphasized the party’s commitment to uncovering the liquor scam for the benefit of Delhi’s revenue. According to Sachdeva, AAP leaders tend to question a judge’s impartiality when decisions go against them, tarnishing the court’s reputation.
The Delhi BJP President expressed confidence in the legal process, stating that the party’s expectation of accountability for Kejriwal and others is a standard part of legal proceedings. Meanwhile, Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood praised the Delhi High Court’s interim stay on a lower court order related to the CBI officer involved in the excise policy investigation. Sood criticized AAP for its alleged involvement in the liquor policy scam and recent judicial developments.
