Delhi BJP President, Harsh Malhotra, expressed satisfaction with the conviction of former Aam Aadmi Party Municipal Councillor Tahir Hussain for the planned murder of Intelligence Bureau Official Ankit Sharma during the 2020 Delhi riots in North East Delhi.

Malhotra highlighted the Aam Aadmi Party’s association with anti-national activists, citing Tahir Hussain’s involvement in the 2020 riots. He also mentioned Khalid Saifi, another accused in the riots, who had collaborated with Team Arvind Kejriwal during the India Against Corruption movement.

Pointing out the government’s leniency, Malhotra criticized the Arvind Kejriwal administration for being soft on cases involving Umar Khalid until 2023, when the Delhi High Court intervened. He also raised concerns about Amanatullah Khan, an MLA from Okhla, accusing him of inciting Muslim mobs during various incidents between 2015 and 2024.

Delhi BJP President emphasized the party’s stance on leaders like Tahir Hussain, Amanatullah Khan, Umar Khalid, and Khalid Saifi, accusing Arvind Kejriwal of supporting anti-Hindu minority community figures. He demanded a public apology from Kejriwal for patronizing individuals like Tahir Hussain.

Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra echoed similar sentiments, welcoming the conviction related to the anti-Hindu riots involving Tahir Hussain. Mishra alleged a pre-planned conspiracy to harm Hindus and force their migration from the area, emphasizing the guilt associated with the killing of Hindus, including Ankit Sharma.
